Special Thing

You say you're weird, and I agreed
Socially retarted, and I laughed out that night
Started thinking you're forthright

But you are sarcastic and I didn't like it
And you talked 'bout quantum physics and the value of music
I thought we wouldn't make it

But hey, it's funny 'cause then
You share your dreams and I share mine
As deep as the ocean, as far as constellations

And then
You seem to sort out my mixed feelings when I'm moody
And your magical words turn my tragic story into comedy
You say thank you that I saved you
When you actually did too by giving me a view

          You are a special thing
          Thank you for being you
          Because hey,
You have a big heart everything can fit in
And a wonderful mind everything can spin in
You constantly show me the beauty in life to see

          We have that special thing
We rule what they don't do
          So hey,
When the world is getting harsh and flat and bland
Let's talk in that language only we understand
Say it will be over, the ride is rough but things get better

You say it feels easy being with me
Talking about the stupidity of humanity
I wish people can see your honesty
How you can always find positivity

Listen to me now I say
I can do my life, but I am happy you joined the play
'Cause when I looked into your eyes, I felt home and okay

The first time you say I'm funny
I thought you were from a Planet Bunny
You're wondering how it is to see me from the moon
I'm wondering if you still keep that picture of the moon

'Cause, alas, I let you go, the shell is cracked open, no!
But you promised not to go, and be there in highs and lows
Maybe I was mad to let you go
Yeah I think I am mad and I needed to go
